APF Staff Member and POPAN Leader to be Featured on Monday’s National Public Radio
American Pain Foundation’s Director of Communications, Micke Brown, and Power Over Pain Action Network leader for Wisconsin, Erica Thiel, were interviewed for a segment on National Public Radio’s (NPR) Morning Edition scheduled to air Monday, November 16, 2009.
Micke, who has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years with more than 15 years experience as a pain management nurse, program coordinator, educator, advocate and past president of American Society for Pain Management Nursing (ASPMN), will be discussing pain management challenges in the hospital setting. Erica, who lives with chronic pain and is a volunteer advocate for APF, will be sharing her personal experiences on how her pain has been managed during her frequent hospitalizations.
