Although today's body armor and rapid evacuation to medical care are saving lives, there are more non-fatal injuries occurring now than during any previous war in United States history. Instances of amputation are double previous rates. Pain management is critical to restoring the lives of our servicemen and women.

Thanks to Representative Dave Loebsack (IA-2) who has sponsored the bill, the Military Pain Care Act of 2008 (HR 5465) has been introduced to the House of Representatives. For more information please see:
